We take the responsibility of being the extra set of eyes and ears in the home seriously.
At Devoted Guardians, we serve elderly and physically disabled individuals across Arizona. Many of our clients live alone or with limited support—which means our team may be the only people regularly checking in on their well-being.
That’s why we partner with Adult Protective Services (APS) every year to deliver refresher training to our field staff, client care managers, caregiver trainers, and supervisors.
This week’s in-person APS session at our Glendale office covered real-world scenarios, reporting protocols, and how to identify signs of abuse, neglect, or exploitation.
- Many of our team members visit homes daily and speak directly with clients—this training ensures they know exactly what to do and how to act quickly.
- Did you know APS is for adults 18+?
- And that an APS report doesn’t show up on a standard background check?
That’s why it’s critical to ensure your provider is screening caregivers through the APS registry—it’s a vital extra layer of protection.
Whether it’s your first time or your fiftieth, APS training is a powerful reminder of the critical role we play in advocating for vulnerable members.
We’re proud to share that our team members left this training certified and better equipped to protect those we serve.
A heartfelt thank you to APS for coming onsite to lead this training. We truly appreciate your continued partnership and the important work you do.
Awareness. Action. Advocacy. It’s what we stand for.
