Sometimes you may want your loved one to conform to your wishes so badly that you forget that she needs to make up her own mind in some cases. That’s when it can help to really look at the situation and determine what you want the outcome to be. For example, if you want your loved one to stop smoking but she’s being stubborn, what do you want the outcome to be?

What Do You Feel You Have Lost as a Family Caregiver?

Resentment can build up when you feel that you’ve lost too much to a given situation. As a family caregiver, it’s not unusual to feel that you’re losing quite a bit to your caregiving duties. You might have to give up a career, for example, or time with your own children.
